7 1/4 inch gauge Quarry Hunslet and tender. Milner type. A very nice loco, last owner ran for a number of years on private garden railway built up over the last 18 years, has a steel boiler with steel tubes.� �Was stopped when smoke tube failed in service, strip down was started then put to one side as other projects took over and was put into dry storage,�in which condition we bought it. No parts seem to be missing. Has cast iron wheels which have sustained� flange damage on loco so�loco�wheels� �will�need either re-turning to restore flanges or steel tyres fitting.The loco is well made with good detail�and it will rebuild into a very nice, crisp early style Milner/Marsh Quarry Hunslet. (it is made from Milner castings but not by Milner�Engineering)�Believed that the locomotive was built in the��early�1980s,�was bought by the last owner as S/H engine from Don Fiffer in the early 1990s.It has a steel boiler�which according to drawings should be�welded from 1/4�inch� (0.250�inch�)�thick plate and barrel.The tubes should be 16SWG (0.064�inch�) so all things being equal�a retube should see the locomotive fit for further service.It would need a strip down of the boiler for assessment by the boiler inspector to confirm this.The worst case would be a new boiler.� Fitted with steam brake�plus vacuum brake pipe work and control valve.�UPDATE boiler is stamped with test data as follows NO H 106/4 WP 90 PSI TP 180 PSI 23.1.79
